My Photography Arsenal

I am in a rampage of gathering arsenals for my camera and I eventually come up with some list, not a wishy-washy list, but a 'hitlist'. The only thing hurtful is the wallet as it hit it bad, and alot of damages been done already and I hope to recover after this spree, so lord help me. Damages done so far; Sandisk Extreme IV 4 Compact Flash CF 4GB, £26.18 Canon 40D LCD Screen Hood Protector, £9.98 Opton Macro & Clos-up filters, £14.78 Hoya58mm UV filter, £8.45 Canon EOS...

Cornwall Photo Shoot

So my DSLR is one month old now and I am decided to take them out for a treat, a photography treat and a weekend stroll in Cornwall with Dave. We crossed to Cornwall via Devonport and drove to Freathy & Whitsand Bay before ending up in Cawsand & Kingsand It was my first time in Cawsand & Kingsand. It was really small town build side by side divided by a cliff on Kingsand's end. From the to you can see the beach and houses. It was an ideal spot for weekend walks. I manage to...

Bad Shooting

I went to Mount Edgecumbe today with Dave for another session of test shooting with my camera. The weather was alright as it was the longest sunny day in this week. This was the opportunity that I have been looking forward for as previous weeks had been terrible with spells and showers throughout the day and night as we are still officially sill in the winter season. Our drive took us to the coast of Freathy, Withsand Bay - our favorite place for summer picnics. Instead of walking down the...

Makkal Shakthi

I stumbled across these clips while making rounds reading my daily digest of Malaysian politics. What touches me is the spirit of these people, though in Ipoh far away from the scene of HINDRAF activities down in Klang Valley..these people are ought to be congratulated for their effort in organising this rally to denounce the ISA imposed on the detained HINDRAF leaders. I suddenly had the urge to embed this here as a recollection of and a reminder that people power is nothing to be fooled and...

Shades For 40

My shades arrived today as the latest add-on to my camera after winning them in ebay 4 days ago. The item was immaculate though it wasn't genuine stuff from Canon as they comes with proper slot to snap it to protect the LCD, hence no problem of worrying that this component will fall off. The only thing that is abit dodgy is the enclosure to shut the LCD from the shade. The shade was made of folded enclosures of the top, that forms as a shade when it was flipped open, and 2 more enclosures...

Positano Get-Together

Everyone going Italian today to celebrate Big Daddy Dave aka Drakko's birthday. We booked a long table of 12 right in the heart of the dining room. Ours was the biggest and the noisiest and pity the waiters taking too long to wait for people to arrive and also taking orders. It was nearly an hour apart! Since have just gotten my 40D not more than a month, I am bringing them with me to test shoot 'moving' objects. During the blogging of this entry I have already discovered AI Servo mode and...

AVP2: Requiem

Watched AVP2 today. It was our first cinema outing in 2008 started with a horror flick. I say horror is because of the gory stuff that the movie had to offer. The cinema was packed as this is still a holiday season, and alot of youngsters thronging in. Well AVP2 is about a crossover battle that nobody wanted to see in the first place, but it was back for the second time. That shows fans eventually did accepted the crossover as a matured one. This movie is directed by Colin and Greg Strause,...

Whoa, Weed Growing

Whoa...a hiatus! I didn't realise that I grow weeds here already. Just had my webhost shifted to a local one (yes, Malaysian lah) recently as my old webhost suddenly fucked up for no reason after performing so well for nearly 2 years. Not sure why, but their quality of service & tech-support had dwindled down to a level that communicating with them by all means is a pain, fruitless and useless effort. The ties was then severed because they can no more offer me a good service, so I...

Ebay a Leaving

This article is so inspiring that get me put up here for everyone to read just in case you haven't came across The Star today. It is about a success of this netpreneur should I say, using eBay as a platform to generate profits. What was the best part was in fact he abandoned his daily office life to get involved working from home fulltime. Read on, and get inspired! KUALA LUMPUR: Chris Chan is a 30-year-old graduate who, like many in her generation, says no to a 9-to-5 office regime and...
