My Super Gran

My gran is 88 today, born in 1919 - 3 years before the Titanic sank in the Atlantic Ocean. She was strong and agile, abit senile but she still remember us as her obedient grandkids. She used to cane me and bro during her trips down here as we were very naughty at that time. We use to run away and hide under the table when she was armed with a cane. I admired her courage and devotion to god, and also her wisdom and knowledge albeit her aging memory. Coming from an aristocrat of Chinese...

Freed-lance

I have just accomplished a freelance web project for a restaurant by upgrading its site from a traditional HTML based site to a database driven site with a database as the backend powered by PHP. The site endorses strict XHTML rules, SEO-able and more information centric than ever as it was delivered as a portal like running on a CMS (Content Management System). The site contains information of what a restaurant should have - bit of background, location of where to find it, their business...

Infiltrated Alas

I have downloaded and tried AVG today, and to my surprise I have a 'guest' in my drive. My HDD was assumed to be clean all this while as my Eset NOD 32 has been running and working like charms preventing and safeguarding my PC. The 'guest' resides dormantly in my C:\Windows\System32 directory disguising itself as 'MY pics.exe' and AVG classified it as a Trojan Horse BackDoor Generic 5.LBS. Not really sure what it does but it seems to be posing a low-level threat to the machine as...

Wish Lists 2007

Everyone got annual wish lists and so am I. I never had one on previous years but ever since my blog was up and running actively, I don't wanna miss out keeping track of my wants in 2007. I know the results is going to hurt my wallet, but I will try to minimize the damage as best as I could. I will start off with photography as my newly rekindled hobby. Honestly speaking, this one was inspired by close friends like Seon and Keng Woo, and to make matters worst, my colleagues and boss are...

Hot Dawgs 4 Hot Job

Bad news for pirates - Malaysia has recently deployed two sniffer dogs in its battle against music and movie piracy thanks to the joint effort of MDCTA (under Datuk Shafie Apdal) and MPAA (Mike Ellis). It was claimed that Malaysia has become the first country in the world to use the animals to hunt for disks of illegal recordings hidden in cargo. Two female Black Labradors, Flo and Lucky, flew specially from London to help them authorities to sniff their way into nailing those...

Self-Treat

I self treat myself with Assam Laksa today by cooking them myself. It was a craving since last year. Mind me ranting like a pregnant women, but men have craving for foods too especially those who can really cook. Not to self praise, but I cook my own laksa when I really got the time to do so. To strengthen the proof, UK have no laksa parlour for you to get your mouth on as the ingredients of making them itself is so scarce. Not to self boost, I can cook assam laksa in less than 2 hours...

Tend-Cruel At-None Monster

Tengku Adnan Mansor (Tend-Cruel At-None Monster) is the latest entry in Malaysian bloggers P.E.N.O.L (Public Enemy Number One List). His claims saying that;“All bloggers are liars, they cheat people using all kinds of methods. From my understanding, out of 10,000 unemployed bloggers, 8,000 are women.” has just created an uproar thus disrupted once peaceful (again) Malaysian blogging scene. And to show solidarity with our female blogger counterparts, this is my response to that...

Pimpin’ Muar

I ain't from Muar but this hip-hopper that hails from Muar (麻坡) has certainly break the barriers of Malaysian urban music scene which was long dominated by English and Malay rappings. Though it was humourously funny, this amateurish production feats rapping with a fusion of local Malaysian Mandarin with a twist of Johorian Hokkien dialect certainly adds comedic value of this rapper and a fair portrayal of his hometown scenario where he hails from. For ya'll who dunno where Muar is, it is...
