Some update on my gym. Been going to my gym for like 3 weeks already. What is my result so far??

Firstly, I lost 1kg. Alrite, I know 1kg is nothing to be hoo-haa about. Still is something ok.

Secondly, my stamina has improved tremendously. My first week was shit. Couldn’t cycle or run for even 3 minutes straight at level 5. I had to stop every now and then to catch my breath. My speed was shit as well, going at around 60rpm only. Today, I can cycle for 10 minutes straight without stopping, maintaining at 120rpm. I can also run for 10 minutes without stopping, maintaining at 120rpm. Both at level 6. Woot!!

Thirdly, I am improving as well on the machines (eg: shoulder press machine, abdominal crunch machine, etc). Previously, I could only do 10 times (difficultly and already half dead), even with the lightest resistance (weight) being set on the machine. Well, the lightest is at 5 pounds, which is around 2kg. Now, I can do 30 times non stop with a heavier or greater resistance, ranging around 15 pounds (7kg). My trainer said is still not good enough. So, he’s increasing my workout on each machine to 60 times.

OK, on the reason why I lost only 1 miserable kg in this three weeks?? My trainer explained that for a person to lose weight, that person must have good stamina to sustain a cardio exercise without stopping for 30 minutes. It is useless if a person keep on stopping in between the cardio workout. So, at the beginning, weight lost will be very minimal, as I am now building up my stamina, rather that losing weight. When my stamina is ok already, and coupled with the right cardio exercise, then only I will lose more weight. Cardio exercise must be done with machine workouts as well. If not, when the weight starts shedding, I will get more and more flabs on my body. Therefore, the machine workouts are for toning and firming my body.

That’s all for now. I am tired leh. Wanna mandi and sleep liao. Gym gives me beautiful sleep as well. Hahaha.
