Small Web Project Done

Finished working on Canon's EOS Academy microsite today. It is a small scale project that I have been working on for 10 days. This microsite is about EOS Academy course offering where Canon run it's training and coaching programme for DSLR savvy people. My task is to revamp the whole site rewriting whats not readable by search engine to readable ones. Being a 'true organic', this site has no flash. I am not a believer in flash despite the fact that many Malaysian company websites love...

How to Solve Magento Login Issues

I was in the midst of testing Magento as required by a client as my 'offered' expertise in Wordpress and Joomla does not tally with the client's requirement of a solid ecommerce package. Wordpress win hands down for the best experience in blogging with superb SEO capabilities and Joomla excel in being a versatile CMS minus the SEO aspects of it, but both platform does not suit my clients' ecommerce needs. After scouring around for a number of ecommerce packages, I then decided to get down...

Site Upgrade

After long hiatus I have decided to upgrade my Wordpress powered blog from 2.0.10 to 2.2.1. If the site doesn't display well in your screen, please bear with me as I have a lot of backdated posts to be published. *the upgrade is such a pain in the ass.*...

Goin’ 4!

Oh yes yes yes, my page Rank is 4 now! Glad it happen as I was hoping this is not going to be possible as my backlinks are still low. I thought another 2-3 months will only yield results but I really didn't expect that this surprise came earlier than expected. I think the effort that I put in SEO-ing and SE submission that does the trick. Goin 4! Just a quick note - PageRank was calculated based on an equation. All of its inbound links are taken into account for calculation. These are...

A Facelift & A SEO Rant

Its the time of the year where everything gets a new face lift, and so is my blog. Plus, CNY & V'day is just around the corner, so I am gonna make further revamps based on themed festivities with an easy-to-fit template where any further fiddlings can be performed in a jiffy. In this case I have discarded Wreck Rose, the X'mas version away like morsels on your plate. I have loved Kapikua's designs, which was the original designer of that template originally known as BBRose before I pimp...

2K & SEO-ing

Yesterday, my hits reached the 2000th mark. After few months of being loved, hated, abused, dissed, blogrolled, pimped (thanks Lilian), & stalked, my blog has transcended to another milestone, which was a meaningful transition I should say. Still have lotsa fresh ideas coming & I hope soon I could contribute more quality blentries (blog-entries) to the Malaysian blogosphere/blogdom. P/S: Thanks to Lucia - a political blogger who've just pimped my cartoon - 'Kurang Asem:...

Pinkophobik & A Cause

Atchelli leh I dun relli like pink wan. Cos the color was atrocious. It abuse my senses & my eye-sight. But this time was different, cos somebody asked me to join her in this holy campaign. So at first I tot what was that..so I went to the URL provided & guess what, it was a campaign about breast cancer. Oh well, I understand we guys are just too macho for all this, but think again. If not cos of these 'precious', aren't we guys gonna have difficulties getting sexcited? Think again....

Getting Listed Agonies

I've been SEO-ing myself in many well-known blog directories recently. Among them are big names such as Blogflux, Blog Explosion, Rice Bowl Journal etc. The reason is just to test my SEO skills instead of using the conventional 'tagging' method among fellow bloggers just to get each other connected & driving traffic to one another. But being accepted in some strictly-selected blog directory is certainly is a challenge that I just found out. Didn't know it can be quite amusing, but do...

Template Switch

Kapikua's theme is darn nice, designed by this dude (or dudette from Spain). Got them from Wordpress extended theme achieve. I had one modded based on Kapikua's BBRose theme last week. It was originally dark - 3-columned template but I changed the dark background to white & blue & foolishly added another 4th column on the far right thinking that it looks darn nice in all res. Kapkikua's BBRose - unmodded yet. After positioning the visitor stats, shoutbox & all the link, I go for a...
