Improve N95 Battery Life

Symbian phones like N95 does run out of power in a short-time due to simultaneous mechanisms running in the background just like those puny Windows drivers that you have no knowledge about. I have came across some tips from gersbo.dk, of how some functions can be turned-off to minimize instantaneous battery drain. Basic Optimizations Update phone firmware - new firmware might include improvements to battery management. Bluetooth - keep it off unless needed. Put bluetooth management...

Do Not Answer Calls While It Was Plugged?

DO NOT ANSWER CELL PHONES WHEN IT IS PLUGGED IN ! Never, ever answer a cell phone while it is being CHARGED!! A few days ago, a person was recharging his cell phone at home. Just at that time a call came and he answered it with the instrument still connected to the outlet. After a few seconds electricity flowed into the cell phone unrestrained and the young man was thrown to the ground with a heavy thud. His parents rushed to the room only to find him unconscious, with a weak heartbeat and...

TMNet – Unprofessional, Unreasonable

My sites (yes including my blog) was blocked by TMNet recently around 2 weeks now. I didn't blog about it because I wanna monitor if the disruption was temporal. Otherwise, it can will be unfair just to brand them unprofessional and unreasonable for no reason. But it seems like the blockade was imminent. My sites are no longer accessible by Malaysians. The complaints come to me in streams that really tested my patience to the max. Having heard of my rants, Yen managed to filed a complaint...

Some random pics while gettin' fiddley with my N95 after a downpour. Among others, an orange, some plants and boring stuff. Here goes the sequence of...

The duo is back for another plotless and mundane story line. If you are fan of...

Plymbridge Wood Walks

Dave and I planned a walk in Plymbridge woods to 'welcome' Butterfly, a mutual friend of Gee who is a Brazilian studying English in UK. The purpose is to trek down trails for our next cycle outing in the weeks to come. Since the day was so awesome, we planned a quick BBQ just right in Dave's backyard. Nothing special prepared as we had our spare time spent below the shade in the garden enjoying ourselves with some occasional summer breeze breezing around us. Damn, was so hungry that I...

Itching Fingers & A Laptop

I was known to have patience when fixing PCs for friends or anyone I knew. Few days ago I was ‘assigned’ to fix a Windows fault in a colleague’s Acer laptop. As always, I will treat the fault with SOP; diagnose problem, reinstall Windows or fiddle with its Recovery. Worst case scenario - format and clean install. Simple task, no problems at all. In no time in less than 5 hours, I got the problem fixed. The fault was initially caused by BitLord (he claimed, but I doubt it). Therefore, a...

Random Pics: 07/08/07

Raging clouds on a raging weather. Some scenes looks gothicy and 'evil' shrouded by darkness, chill and discomfort, but nothing yet thunderous like what we experienced in Malaysia. English weather doesn't seem to 'inherit' feats like their cousins in the orient. Here I go again, making a mugshot out of the unmuggable. A sequence of shrouding darkness; Dark as it comes. Dark as it is. Bright day after that? This shot says it...
